Administrative Assistant
Emerge CPA is in search of an Administrative Assistant at our St. Stephen location to join our growing team of professionals.
Emerge CPA has offices located in Saint John and in St. Stephen. Their highly experienced and dedicated staff of over 30 service clients from Northeast United States to Western Canada with the majority of the client base in Southern New Brunswick.
Our client profile is very diverse. Emerge CPA serves organizations across the not-for-profit, municipal, manufacturing, medical services, financial services, construction, information technology and retail sectors.
Our client base encompasses small owner managed business to large multi-national organizations. This diversity has produced a firm deep in expertise combined with a breadth of experience.
Emerge CPA is one of the largest independent firms of chartered professional accountants within Saint John and surrounding areas. Emerge (formerly known as Beers Neal PC) began its operation in 2002 and have established strong relationships with lenders and other government organizations in our community that support our businesses.
Reporting to the Principal, the Administrative Assistant will work collaboratively with team members to problem solve and facilitate decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the phone system;
- Greet all clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner;
- Prepare client correspondence and billings;
- Filing;
- Handle all inbound and outbound mail, faxes and deliveries; and
- Various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
As the successful candidate, you must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail in your work, strong organizational and time management skills allowing you the ability to multi-task and prioritize your workload. You will need to maintain flexibility as priorities change and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Extensive knowledge with Office 365 and an enthusiasm to learn the specific industry related software programs is essential.
The Administrative Assistant will effectively communicate and display their interpersonal skills across a collaborative team.
